A Unicorn’s Uniform

Description:

A Unicorn’s Uniform is a cropped, dropped shoulder, highneck jumper.

This jumper is knitted from the bottom up in separate pieces, using 4 strands of the same yarn held together, in 4 different colours. The jumper is knitted back and forth on straight needles, and assembled at the end. First you will need to work the back body, starting from the bottom. The edge is made using 1×1 rib, and the rest of the back is worked in half fisherman’s rib. The back has no shaping, so essentially it’s a rectangle shape. The front is then worked in the same way as the back until the shaping takes place, by binding off the centre part, and working the 2 shoulders seperately. You will use decreases to shape the neckline. The sleeves are then made by working 1×1 rib stitch for the cuffs, increasing directly above the cuff, and knitting half fisherman rib until the bind off. The shoulders are joined, and the arms are attached to the body, and then the side and underarm seams are joined in one go.
