Description:

Mopaca is a high neck, oversized sweater.

This jumper is knitted from the bottom up in separate pieces, using 3 strands of alpaca in the same colour, and 1 strand of mohair blend in a contrast colour. The jumper is knitted flat, and assembled at the end. First you will work the back body, starting with a twisted rib stitch. The rest of the back is worked in stockinette stitch, and the neck and shoulders are bound off in one go. The front is then worked in the same way as the back until the shaping takes place, by binding off the centre part, and working the 2 shoulders seperately. You will use decreases to shape the neckline. The sleeves are then made by working twisted rib stitch for the cuffs, increasing directly above the cuff, and knitting stockinette stitch for the rest of the sleeves with stripes. The shoulders are joined, and then the stitches around the neckline are picked up to work the collar in twisted rib stitch in the round. The neckline is then finsihed using a tubular finish. Finally the arms are attached to the body, and then the side and underarm seams are stitched together in one go.
